Representatives of KIP Brno attended a professional conference on the topic "Completion of Temelin NPP - an opportunity for the Czech industry?" at the International Engineering Fair at the Brno Exhibition Centre. The subject of the conference was a professional discussion with leading representatives of trade associations (Confederation of Industry of the Czech Republic, Czech Chamber of Commerce) about the opportunities and potential of Czech companies for the completion of Temelin NPP. The conference was also attended by the government agent for the completion of Temelin NPP Mgr. Vaclav Bartuska, the Deputy Minister of MIT Ing. Milan Hovorka and other prominent representatives. One of the subjects of the conference was a presentation of projects for completion of units 3 and 4 of Temelin NPP. The potential suppliers Škoda JS a.s., Westinghouse Electric and AREVA presented their ideas of the utilization of Czech suppliers in the supply of technological systems.

SSNF in Temelin NPP – As-built drawings
The company KIP Brno, successfully handed over the last part of the as-built drawings to the customer, I & C Energo - documentation of wiring and cable support systems in the newly built storage of spent nuclear fuel – SSNF - located on the grounds of Temelin NPP. KIP provided a design of cable support systems, a wiring project and subsequent supervision over the implementation.

The contract with P-D Refractories CZ a.s. for the delivery of kiln car traversers signed
On August 10, 2010 a contract with the company P-D Refractories CZ was signed for the supply and mechanical and electrical installation of a kiln car traverser in the company Dinas Svitavy. The subject of the contract is the delivery of a new traverser including a power panel and a a control box placed on the traverser. The traverser is controlled in manual and automatic modes by the system Foxtrot, the travel speed is controlled by a frequency converter.
